Service Learning Project 2018

What I did:​

  • This was a project in partnership with Kreta Ayer Family Services and Yong En Care Centre.

  • My team members and I organised a family night event for children from low-income families

  • I was involved in the crafting of the proposal, door-to-door promotion of the event, planning and facilitation of activities

  • The event was a success with a greater turnout than expected and positive feedback was received from families that participated in the various activities

What I learnt:​

  • How to work within a team

  • How to craft a proposal, budget outline and project timeline

  • How to plan and carry out age-appropriate activities for children
